We are a company that Inspects Homes: Homes are our Life
One of the difficulties encountered by many inspection companies is that proficiency in several related services is required to be successful. For these companies, inspections are not always given the attention it deserves. Often it is done by less experienced employees (inspectors), and is almost always done with less knowledge and lower-priced equipment.
Daniel Welch
Daniel Welch is the owner of the company and he emphasizes that DANWAY Home Inspection is a company that does everything with-in the inspection process. We do not try supplementing our income by contracting installation or service work, no maintenance of property or equipment. We just do Home Inspections. According to Daniel, "We have learned to become specialists, house doctors in the Home Inspection industry. We inspect the body of the house, the arteries and veins of a home. We will prescribe the cures and remedies for all the areas that require attention in your home."
The Right Stuff
Daniel Welch started his building company in 1974. Over the years, as faster ways were devised to build and remodel homes, as equipment improved, there was also a new age group of workers evolving. This new generation of builders and tradesman were less apprenticed and mentored than the previous craftsmen. The building industry became faster, with more complex materials being utilized, more complex designs, and with less apprenticed labor available. It became more and more obvious how much more education that was actually needed to be provided with-in the building industry.
The average home has over 3,500 components. The square footage of homes was doubling and the building materials were changing. We often suggest to our customers that they imagine that much space filled with complexes of materials that were installed by less skilled or apprenticed tradesmen then the past generation of master craftsmen. This introduced a new variety of troubles such as problems of less skilled installations, increased maintenance, premature wear, mold, radon, and others.
In 1984, Daniel began to offer his building knowledge and services to tradesmen, builders, and home owners. He helped advice, educate and troubleshoot on all issues relating to houses and buildings; providing this service to one and all that needed this information. He began teaching his craft in field type school situations, with his hands-on approach to the remodeling and building industry. DANWAY really took off in the 90s when he started DANWAY Home Inspections. It was more of a one-on-one, in the field, hands-on training taught by Daniel for individuals who wanted to understand more about homes and the on-going maintenance involved. DANWAY Home Inspections offers to all homeowners a complete on-going inspection information source to help insure their successful home ownership right from the start.
